The unexpected truth

Chapter 5: Showtime

It was the first day of filming, and Katie spent the entire morning getting pampered with a new hairstyle, wardrobe for every possible moment she would have, and glamorous makeover.

The show would begin with the men coming into the house one after another in one hour intervals. Katie had no idea who would be coming in the door, and she wasn't sure if she would be ready. Katie followed all the cues and intercoms that loudly told her commands throughout the house.

She tried to keep Andrew's words in the back of her mind about being herself, but it was not easy with so many demands. Katie stood where she was told as the doorbell would ring for the first guest she would welcome. She was nervous and thinking about all the men in her life back home.

She didn't tell them about the show, and she hadn't really messaged or called any of them.

Just then, the doorbell rang. Except it wasn't a ring it was more of a melody. Katie was beautifully dressed for the occasion. She wore a red silk dress that formed her figure and had a slit up to her hip on one side. Her hair was straightened, and her face was gleaming. As the door opened, she felt the butterflies in her stomach building.

Entering the house was a tall, muscle bound man with a beautiful smile and something out of a magazine. Katie smiled with surprise, and Kevin entered the room grinning ear to ear at the sight of Katie. He approached her slowly and leaned in to kiss her cheek. They introduced themselves, and Katie showed him to the main living room where everyone would gather together.

"Katie, I am very happy to be doing this with you, I have never done anything this daring before, but my medical crew convinced me that I needed to give it a chance." Kevin said.

"Medical?"

Katie replied as Kevin nodded, his head drinking from the champagne glass sitting there for him.

"I went to school to become a nurse, and I have my degree as a CNA, but I learned that the medical field wasn't for me." Kevin replied.

"So, are you a doctor or a nurse?" Katie said.

"I'm a doctor, Katie."

Kevin answered as he walked to sit next to her on the loveseat. He leaned into Katie and whispered in her ear,

"Are you nervous??."

Katie nodded…

"Do you think since I'm first to arrive, I should get the room closest to yours?"

Kevin said with a grinn.

They both laughed.

Just then, the doorbell chimed once more, and both their eyes grew big. Katie was not sure what to think. Would she be blessed with geourgous men the whole time, or was there some sick twist about to come her way.

Kevin jumped and shouted,

" whoohooo Katie, let the fun begin."

Katie smiled.
