The family gathering turned out to be unexpectedly wonderful, even exceeding my wildest expectations. It was heartwarming to reconnect with my family, as we rarely get the chance to see one another. Although my mom wasn't there, my girlfriend was by my side, enhancing the experience, and it seems my family has taken quite a liking to her.
