Akila cradles Chloe in his arms, while she playfully adjusts his glasses, laughing heartily. He is wearing a new pair of glasses that I have not seen before, and they suit him remarkably well.
He proceeds to the couch where he gently places Chloe down. I remove my shoes and set my crossbody bag aside before joining them on the couch. By the time I settle next to her, Akila has already switched on a children's channel for her entertainment, taking a seat on the opposite side.
