New Patient

Chapter 7 “Someone is in a good mood this morning!” chirps Michael. “Well after the night I had with you and knowing today is the last day of Debbie’s workload, hell yeah I’m happy” I chirp back, grabbing my man by the a*s in for a playful kiss, with a promise of some 'afternoon delight' at lunchtime. We head to work and listen to some upbeat music on the way, we are sharing a car at the minute as mine is in for repair, nothing can piss me off today. "Hi Matt, are you as excited as I am?” “God yeah, and it’s Friday, result!’’ he answers with a huge smile on his face. “What’s the plan for today? Please tell me it’s an easy day…” “Eh, that would be a no,” he frowns, “It’s a busy one, you too Michael, you’re both fairly swamped,” he says. “Let's get this s**t started so, bring it on!” I yell. One by one they roll in. Not so bad so far, only two more till lunchtime, I think to myself. My phone rings and it’s Matt telling me I have a cancellation, and do I want to move my last appointment forward instead as it was the second last appointment of the day that was cancelled. I tell him, yes, and then I can get some paperwork done. I have lunch in Michael’s office and decide to give him as much attention as I can. He's been looking after me so well the last two weeks, it's time to look after him now. I order tacos and give him a blow job with promises of much more later. I plan on returning the favour for the next few weeks. I have Matt send me the file of my last patient so I can look it over. It’s a new hospital referral. Jesus, it was quite the case. The poor girl was getting something out of the boot of her car when another car crashed right into her, pinning her. She's lucky to be alive. I hear a commotion in the waiting room. "What on earth is going on out there?" I ask Matt on the phone. "Your new referral is here and she's snapping at whoever is with her," he said. "The girl in the wheelchair is snapping or the person pushing it?" I ask. "Both," he answers. “I'm still reviewing the file but if you need me to come out I can?" "Nah, it's all calming down now, don't worry I’ll get them some coffee and ease the situation." Matt is happy to handle it, he’s very good at dealing with people. "Thanks, Matt, I hope not to be much longer, there are a lot of hospital notes so give me just a few more minutes, the file is huge." "No problem, Daniel, take your time, they're early and I have it under control." I continue to read through her file. It’s a very sad, heavy read. The girl is paralyzed with some use of her upper body. The parents are overbearing and controlling, and the patient keeps begging them to take her to a clinic in Switzerland to die by assisted suicide. I don't know how to handle this one if I'm honest.
