VAMPIRE BLOOD

1151 Words
Hiraya's POV "We need to find allies" Catalina said while drinking blood from a wine glass. "How? Our whole kingdom was wiped out" I stated, a little bit of anger still evident in my voice. "Not entirely" She answered, making me look at her. "What do you mean by that?" I asked with my furrowed eyebrows. "There are still vampires all over the world, Hiraya. Living with humas, living a normal life" She said giving me a meaningful stare.  "No, Catalina. We won't turn their normal lives into a chaos!" I said, full of authority. Catalina took a deep breath and seated properly. She turned to me with a frown, "Do you think they can still live a normal life after what happened? After all these?" She asked like I was unbelievable. "Hiraya, criminal vampires are scattered all over the globe, hundreds of them. And I think they built a whole army. They had the guts and power to kill even the king and lady Victoria, the two most powerful vampires." The last words she said made her fists to tighten, breaking the wine glass she was holding. Papa Victor and mom are twins. They are equally strong, brave, and powerful. Papa Victor was the king because he's a male. "They're planning to take over the world. They will make the normal-living vampires their slaves. They can't have a normal life now, Hiraya. But if we fight and win, everything will be back to how it used to be" She explained. "Ok. If that is the only choice we're left with, then we'll fight. We will find allies, and fight the war they started" I said with my strong and brave voice, anger and determination gathered together in my head. I frowned when Catalina's eyes widened looking at me. It was like she was stunned of seeing something. "Catalina" I called her name to gain herself back. She blinked a few times and ran to me with a vampire's speed. I was so confused as she leaned closer to my face, examining my eyes closely.  "Ina, what are you doing?" I asked with so much confusion trailing my voice. She finally stood straight, "Hiraya, I j-just saw your eyes changed color for a few seconds. I think your vampire blood has started to awaken" She said full of shock and happiness. "What?" I asked, still finding it unbelievable. "I just saw it!" She blurted out with her mixed emotions. She squealed with so much happiness. My eyes sparkled with joy and my heart started to beat with so much joy. A smile slowly came to appear in my lips. "But..." The next word she said made my smile slowly disappeared. "It was glowing silver" She said with full confusion circling in her eyes, reflecting mine. She sat beside the chair I was sitting at, and looked at the invisible air like she was thinking of something. "I haven't seen a vampire with silver eyes before. I haven't also read anything about it" She whispered but loud enough for me to hear. "What do you think it is then?" I asked, desperately to know why it turned silver instead of red. "I don't know. For now, let's focus in the war. But if you find anything that has to do with your eyes, tell me right away." I nodded and she smiled at me. *** I was just staring at Catalina, who was concentrating with her eyes closed. She's trying to contact some of the coven members through her telepathy. She believes that we're not the only ones who survived. She thinks that there are other ones who escaped, so do I. Catalina is blessed with two gifts; telepathy and vision. Telepathy is the ability to have a connection and talk to someone through your mind. A vision is the ability to dream of something that will happen in the future. Vampires usually have just one gift, but since Catalina is a royalty, maybe that's the reason why she have two. "I can sense Claire's mind energy. She's far" She said, still closing her eyes. Claire is gifted with telepathy as well. That is the reason why it was easy for Ina to sense her mind energy. It was caused by the similarity of their gifts. As she opened her eyes, it was glowing red, letting me know that she was using her telepath ability. By the second she blinked her eyes, it was back to its normal color. "She's on her way back here" She said making me nod my head. Catalina left for a while to change into a comfortable and cleaner clothes. She also checked the whole castle grounds to check if there's no intruder left. I was left at the bench near the palace's entrance. After about ten minutes, I heard a lot of noises of running feet. I immediately stood up and prepared myself for a possible fight. Despite of not being gifted with abilities, I was hardly trained since I was a kid. Three times harder than a vampire fighter. I am still a royalty after all. I am the daughter of the strongest female vampire. I sharpened my senses and put my mind on edge. I payed full attention towards the gate, waiting for an intruder, but I was relieved when Claire appeared in my sight. My heart felt joyful when I saw more of our coven's vampires behind her. There are more or less sixty who survived. But it was just few compared to our previous coven members that was originally more than three hundred. I frowned when I saw six strangers beside Claire. They smiled at me after bowing their heads for respect, a thing I was happy and confused about. "Who are they, Claire? How dare you enter the palace with some strangers without letting me or Catalina know?" I asked, trying to hide the madness that's trying to flow through my veins. Claire smirked at me, "Who do you think you are, Hiraya? You're just a mutt here. So just tell me where is the princess, Catalina" She said with her irritating tone. My blood boiled from what I heard. My fists clenched and I feel something different in my senses, its like they are expanded. I noticed the six unknown people glaring at Claire, but I just ignored them and glared at Claire like her death depends on it. Her eyes widened, like others behind her. Their emotions showed shock and fear. Before I knew it, I was already holding Clair by her neck, pulling her up causing her feet to be lifted from the ground. "Say another word and I'll make you take you very last breath!" I angrily yelled at her. Tears fell from her eyes and her face turned red. Before I could kill her, someone pulled me away, causing Claire to fall to the ground, desperately gasping for air. I looked at Catalina. She's trying to calm me. As I slowly calmed down a bit, I just noticed it. My senses are sharp, I can even hear the falling leaves from outside the territory. My nails are a little long and sharp. I have...fangs.
