Chapter Twenty-Two Thankfully, there were no reporters nearby when Elise returned home. She sprinted into the house, and the wind caught the door, slamming it shut behind her. The noise startled her and she slid against the door in a sobbing heap of tears. How could Amy do this to her? Elise pulled out her cell phone and sent several texts to Amy, accusing her of ruining her life, her chance at love with Wes, and for making him hate her forever.
