Chapter Twelve
When Elise pulled in to the driveway for lunch, she saw the Redbuilt truck and immediately scanned the rooftop for Billy. Her nerves tightened when she saw him climbing down a ladder. Hopefully the damage wasn’t extensive to the roof. She got out of her car and walked toward him.
“At least the weather is holding out for you today,” Elise said.
“I couldn’t have asked for a better day. How about you?” Billy looked up at the sunshine peeking through the clouds and back at Elise.
“It’s been a busy one, but things are coming along nicely at the B&B.”
