Rise of the Crimson Throne Chapter 21 — The Blood Moon War The crimson moon illuminated thousands of soldiers gathering outside Blackmere. Humans. Vampires. Hunters. All preparing for war. Elena stood upon the palace balcony wearing Selene’s silver crown once again. This time she no longer feared the memories. Because she understood the truth. She was Elena. And she was also Selene. Lucien approached beside her quietly. “You don’t have to fight.” Elena looked toward the battlefield. “Yes,” she whispered. “I do.” Chapter 22 — The First Vampire Deep beneath the church, Adrian opened the ancient coffin carefully. Dark mist escaped into the chamber. Then slowly— A pale woman opened her eyes. Ancient. Terrifying. Beautiful. The first vampire queen. Her crimson eyes studied Adrian silently. “You awakened me,” she whispered. Adrian tightened his grip on his sword. “I need your help.” The woman smiled faintly. “Then the end has truly begun.” Chapter 23 — Brothers of Darkness The battlefield outside Blackmere erupted into chaos. Lucien finally faced Valdrik beneath the blood moon. The two brothers clashed like gods. Dark power exploded through the mountains. “You should have let her die!” Valdrik roared. Lucien’s crimson eyes burned with fury. “You destroyed everything we loved!” Their swords collided violently. Meanwhile Elena sensed another darkness approaching. Something older than Valdrik himself. Chapter 24 — Queen of the Crimson Throne Inside the throne room, Elena placed the silver crown upon her head. Ancient power awakened instantly. The palace trembled. Moonlight flooded the chamber. Every vampire in the kingdom suddenly bowed. Selene had truly returned. But so had the ancient curse bound to the throne. Dark whispers filled Elena’s mind. Power. Immortality. Blood. She struggled to resist it. Then Lucien’s voice echoed behind her. “You are stronger than the darkness.” Elena turned toward him slowly. And chose love over power. Chapter 25 — Eternal Moon Dawn finally rose over Blackmere. The war had ended. Valdrik’s castle crumbled into ash beyond the mountains. The crimson moon slowly faded from the sky. Citizens emerged carefully from hiding. For the first time in centuries… Peace returned. On the palace balcony, Elena stood beside Lucien watching sunlight touch the kingdom. “You stayed,” Lucien whispered softly. Elena smiled. “I found my home.” Far below them, Blackmere slowly awakened beneath the morning light. And high above the mountains— The eternal moon still watched over them both.
