The Vampire King’s Lost Queen
Chapter 11 — The Hunter’s Warning
Rain poured heavily over Blackmere.
Inside the church, Adrian Cross sharpened his silver blade while Father Marcus watched nervously.
“You truly believe she has returned?” Marcus asked quietly.
Adrian’s gray eyes remained fixed on the storm outside.
“I know she has.”
Marcus frowned.
“The queen died centuries ago.”
“Not completely.”
Lightning flashed through the stained-glass windows.
Adrian slowly removed an old photograph from his coat.
A painting of Queen Selene.
And beside it…
A recent picture of Elena.
The resemblance was undeniable.
“She is the key to everything,” Adrian whispered.
“And if Valdrik reaches her first…”
He never finished the sentence.
Because deep within the forest—
A terrifying roar echoed through the mountains.
Chapter 12 — Blood Under Moonlight
Deep beneath the palace, Lucien trained Elena to defend herself.
Silver swords clashed inside the ancient hall.
“You hesitate too much,” Lucien warned.
Elena glared at him.
“I’m not a vampire warrior.”
“You were once a queen.”
Elena attacked again.
This time Lucien caught her wrist gently.
For a brief moment, neither moved.
The tension between them felt dangerous.
Then suddenly—
Elena saw another memory.
Lucien kissing Selene beneath the crimson moon.
The vision vanished instantly.
But her heartbeat refused to calm.
Lucien stepped back slowly.
“You remembered again.”
Elena looked away.
“Yes.”
Far above them, thunder rolled across the kingdom.
War was getting closer.
Chapter 13 — The Dark Prince
Meanwhile, Valdrik’s army crossed the northern forests.
At the front rode a young vampire prince dressed entirely in black armor.
Kael.
Valdrik’s adopted son.
Unlike the others, Kael’s eyes showed conflict rather than cruelty.
One hunter approached him nervously.
“My prince, Lord Valdrik ordered the queen brought alive.”
Kael’s jaw tightened.
“And Lucien?”
The hunter lowered his head.
“Dead.”
Kael looked toward Blackmere in silence.
Long ago, Lucien had once saved his life.
Now fate demanded betrayal.
Chapter 14 — Echoes of Selene
That night Elena wandered alone through the royal library.
Ancient books lined endless shelves.
One dusty journal caught her attention.
Queen Selene’s Diary.
Her hands trembled opening it.
Inside were memories written centuries earlier.
About Lucien.
About the kingdom.
About love.
But the final pages were stained with blood.
“Valdrik grows darker every night…”
“If he discovers the prophecy, none of us will survive…”
“Elena…”
She froze.
No.
Not Elena.
Selene.
The handwriting suddenly changed.
“If I die, I pray my soul finds its way back to Lucien.”
Tears filled Elena’s eyes unexpectedly.
Because deep inside…
She already knew it had.
Chapter 15 — The Night Attack
Screams shattered Blackmere before dawn.
Valdrik’s hunters stormed the town beneath the fog.
Homes burned.
People ran in terror.
Inside the palace, alarms echoed through the corridors.
Lucien immediately drew his sword.
“They’re here.”
Elena’s heart pounded.
The kingdom erupted into chaos.
Vampires rushed toward the gates.
Silver arrows rained from the darkness.
Then—
The enormous palace doors exploded open.
A massive creature emerged from the smoke.
Tall.
Monstrous.
Eyes glowing crimson.
Valdrik’s executioner.
And behind him stood Kael.
Watching Elena silently.
Watching the lost queen.
