Lucien frowned.
“What prophecy?”
The old oracle raised trembling hands toward Elena.
“The last blood queen will either save both worlds…”
“Or destroy them.”

Soon afterward, people across Blackmere began changing.
Humans attacked their families like wild beasts.
Vampires lost control of their hunger.
A dark plague spread rapidly.
Father Marcus studied ancient texts desperately.
“This curse predates vampires themselves.”
Meanwhile Elena discovered terrifying symbols appearing on her skin beneath moonlight.

To stop the plague, Elena, Lucien, Adrian, and Cassian journeyed beyond the frozen mountains.
Deep within ancient ruins, they discovered a forgotten temple.
At its center stood statues of the first blood queens.
One inscription chilled Elena completely:
