It has been two months since Michael and I broke up. I had a hard time getting over it, but now I'm happy again.
A couple weeks ago I was visiting my niece. She’s about my age and goes to high school not too far from where I live. A close friend of her was having a party, so we went and it was great. She maybe doesn’t live too far away from me, but it was far away enough to feel like I was escaping my life. In contrast with my normal daily life, there it didn’t feel like everybody knew me and I felt like I could be myself more than normally.
