I stood outsidelibrary 1 as I waited for Haruhi, it had been a boring day after I talked toher, but I had avoided catching people's attention, which is always a goodthing for me. My brain was trying to convince me to make a break for it beforeshe came so I could avoid any awkward situations. 'No, I can't do that, Ipromised, and I don't want to go home, so suck it up buttercup, it's not likeyou're being tortured.' "HeyRisa-san, thanks for waiting for me!" The brunette appeared next to me andI jumped, not expecting anyone to actually show up. "Oh sorry, I didn'tmean to startle you. You ready to study?" "Yeah, andyour just fine Haruhi-san, don't worry about me." I turned towards thedoors, "I'm warning you now, I have yet to be in the library when it'squiet, so if you like to study in peace, we might have to do some hunting for agood place." And with that, the door opened. Haruhi blinkedas the noise of students talking and laughing loudly washed over us, "Wow,you weren't kidding. Would you mind if we looked for somewhere else? You don'thave to come with me, but I don't think I can concentrate here." I noddedand we turned together and walked away heading for the next stop on the hunt. *** (***=timeskip) "This placehas four library rooms, you would think one of them would be quiet."Haruhi grumbled obviously getting rather irritated as we searched for a placeto study. I could only nod my head in agreement, then as I looked over at her,you could see that she had zoned out. She was a strange girl; I mean, first ofall, she talked to me and actually wanted to study with me! 'Is that acommon thing? Do people normally justhang out casually?' The concept justblew my mind and I was stuck on that fact. I know I was never a very socialgirl, but I used to have some form of a social life, but then, well... it happened. After that I was pretty much alone, all I had left to fall on was my books, mypiano, and my singing, but none of those give you very great social skills. Because I was solost in my own head, I didn't realize where Haruhi had led us, and by the timeI did, she was already opening the door. "Wait, Haruhi, don-" "Welcome"Out came a swirl of voices and rose petals, and at that moment, I wished Icould just abandon Haruhi to whatever horrible fate awaited her and make myescape. Sadly, I was just a little too late, Haruhi had already walked in andbecause I'm an i***t I followed. "Crap,"I muttered, "Haruhi, we just wandered into the Host club, let's justgo." "This is aHost club?" Haruhi asked, obviously very shocked. "Oh wow,it's a boy and a mouse." the twin who I personally referred to as"double trouble, said. I just glared at the floor at my nickname, Icouldn't protest anything, because it's pretty accurate. The Shadow Kingsuddenly looked up from writing in his notebook, "Hikaru, Kaoru, I believethis young man is in the same class as you, isn't he? And you Miss Soretzu arein class with Tamaki and me, is that correct?" I just nodded as the twinsanswered Kyoya. "Yeah, buthe's shy." Twin one said, "Hedoesn't act very sociably" twin two threw in, "so we don't know muchabout him." they finished together. Kyoya lookedreprovingly at the twins and said"Oh, that wasn't very polite. Welcome tothe Ouran Host Club, Mr. Honor Student and Miss Mouse." I groaned as I sawmy already small escape window shrinking even further as Tamaki now approachedus. "What? Youmust be Haruhi Fujioka. You're the exceptional honor student we've heardabout." I knew that the hosts were fully fixated on Haruhi now, so Iretreated until my back was against the wall and zoned out. I knew that I wasalready going to be in a fair amount of trouble when I got home, but right nowI could still say that this was a good excuse so I was going to take it. Icouldn't stay for too much longer though, I would have to bow out soon. All of a sudden,a crash pulled me back into the room with the hosts where an expensive lookingvase lay shattered on the floor. "Oh Haruhi-san," I sighed to myself,'What have you gotten yourself into, this could be bad. Wait... Will I bepulled in too?' The Twins weretalking now, "With what money? You can't even afford a schooluniform." Kaoru looked Haruhi up and down with slight disgust,"What's with that grubby outfit anyways? I looked atHaruhi apologetically as I slunk towards the door, but someone was suddenlystanding between me and freedom, "Don't think you're getting away soeasily Miss Soretzu, you do share some of the responsibility." Kyoyamurmured quietly then raised his voice, "Well then, what do you think weshould do, Tamaki?" I glared atKyoya in outrage, "I have no idea what you are talking about MisterOotori, but the only thing I did wrong was in coming here, you have nothing youcan accuse me of." I hissed in outrage. "So, thelittle mouse has a tongue after all does she? Fascinating." Kyoya openedhis black book and began writing something in it. I just glared as Tamaki'svoice came bursting in. "There's afamous saying you may have heard, Fujioka. When in Rome, you should do as theRomans do. Since you have no money, you can pay with your body. That means, starting today, you're the host club's dog." He sounded far too excitedabout all of this to me. Then the hyperactive blond turned to me, "Andyou, we can't just leave you out Soretzu, seeing as how you were here when thecrime occurred we will simply have to make you into the Host club's newmaid!" I gasped in shock, then stumbled back as a small body flung itselfinto me, hugging me tightly. "You'regoing to be our maid Ri-chan? This will be so fun!" What he didn't noticewas that the instant his arms wrapped around me, my face turned white, and Ibegan to shake like a leaf. "P-p-pleaseHaninozuka-senpai, l-l-let me g-go." I tried to pull myself free, but hedidn't seem to notice my distress quite yet, he just kept going on about thecake we could eat and what not. Meanwhile, my vision was graying, and I knewthat I would soon lose the ability to stand, "S-senpai, l-l-let mego." "Are youalright Miss Soretzu? You seem to have gone quite pale." Kyoya now lookedat me with concern. I was saved a little too late by a tall, imposing figurepulling me out of the short boy's arms. "Mitsukuni, release." was all I heard before the world went dark.
