THE NEXT DAY
“Going out again?” Nina uttered behind me, startling me in the process of trying to silently wear my flats. “Where are you going this time?” she asked, her gaze fixed on my back.
I sighed deeply then turned around to look at her innocently “I'm going to see Dad” I replied and she stared at me with one of her eyebrows raised
“You keep seeing Dad every day. I didn't know you and your stepdad were this close,” she said, then rolled her eyes.
“I will be back early I promise” I uttered but she rolled her eyes
“Whatever,” he uttered with a nonchalant attitude, “I didn't agree for you to come here with me just to go see your dad every day,” she uttered angrily, a frown appearing on her face.
Nina and I haven't had time to have fun together, and that upset her.
