“Congratulations, Mrs sunshine,” everyone chorused, staring at Mom, who kissed Micheal as her life deepened on it.
I looked around, my gaze falling on everyone present. Some looked at Mom jealously, others looked at Mom and Micheal in admiration, but others looked at Dad and Mom in genuine happiness.
“Woah Dad this is huge,” Derick said, walking closer to Mom and Dad “You certainly outdid yourself Dad” Derick added, his gaze still fixed on the huge black latest-model car in front of us
“I thought you forgot about my birthday,” Mom said, tears gathering in her eyes.
“I would never.” I rolled my eyes at his response, obviously aware of the fact that that was a huge lie.
