Micheal's POV
LATER THAT EVENING
“sleeping,” I asked as soon as she picked up the phone
“No,” she responded immediately. “I was waiting for your call,” she added, and I chuckled.
I decided to call her after finishing off some paperwork and replying to some emails. I kept smiling throughout the process because my thoughts kept drifting to her.
“So you didn't want to call first; instead, you were waiting for me to call?”
“Of course,” she responded. “I knew you were going to call, so I waited patiently,” she said.
“How long have you been waiting?” I asked in curiosity
“Let's say about thirty minutes now” she responded and I felt terrible for keeping her waiting that long
“I'm so sorry you had to wait that long. I had lots of work to finish and I wasn't aware of how time flew by”
