“It was Lillian. Lillian took his mind away from you” Lillian froze when she heard her name.
I turned my head to the kitchen, my gaze landing on the figure who held a bottle of water in his hand. From the voice, I already knew it was Derick, but what I didn't know was what he meant with what he said.
“Lillian? What happened to Lillian that made you forget you had a wife?” Sunshine asked, staring at Lillian and me interchangeably.
Lillian looked at Derick, fear flashing in her eyes. “You think I don't know what happened today?” Derick said, his gaze fixed on Lillian and my heart pounded against my chest in fear
