“Why are you the one picking me up?” I asked, clearly dissatisfied with the fact that Derick was the one picking me up. “Where is Dad?” I added.
Mom told me over the phone yesterday that Micheal had decided to come to pick me up, and after making sure I wore the best of the clothes I had here in the hospital, I waited patiently in my room to come face-to-face with my ex-boyfriend, whose psychopath of a girlfriend almost took my life.
