Twenty-Seven An excruciating sadness filled my heart as I entered a van where my father lay, suffering from his wounds. Deep down, I doomed life as unfair, although at the same time wondering why it even should be. I had just regained my father, and now I was losing him. I knew he would die from the moment I knew that he was with the Sub. It was foolish to try and save him. But at least it gifted us with this moment. Our first and last.
