COLTON I staggered as I walked through the door of my apartment, laughing as I stumbled clumsily ,into the very dark room. Weird. Wasn’t Ann supposed to have been back already? And if my very drunk brain was working right, I knew she was a scaredy-cat and would never put off the light. “A_” I tried to call her name, but burped heavily instead. I laughed and tossed my shoes, making it easier for me to walk through the house, although clumsily. I checked every single room in the house and found nothing. I frowned. She wasn’t back. I sighed as I went back to the living room, finally switching on the light. I held my drink in one hand and carried the files in the other. The files.
