Nefa, Papu, and Insta ran toward the sound of the struggle, and had already concluded that Chaka was the one involved with it. They knew their friend would not be fighting the dog but assumed that the snarling sound was coming from the canine. They ran across an open field and back into a stand of trees, where they found Chaka and his dog in the final moments of combat with a large, tusked wild boar. The animal was thrashing about and ripping b****y gashes in man and dog, as the pair tried first to subdue their prey, then to flee it.
