The water had to be the perfect temperature. Kyon knew that from giving Lilia salt soaks that her ankles were starting to hurt with her pregnancy. He tested it with his finger. Perfect. He might just indulge in a salt soak to help his aching muscles after training for hours with Dane.
He carried the porcelain basin into the healing room, making sure not to spill the water, and felt fascinated by the way it swirled. Everything seemed more vivid since he mated with Azandra. Especially water, after that night by the river.
