DJEFF: What have I done to you ?
LYDIE: What do you mean ? I don't understand.
DJEFF: Why do you hate me ?
LYDIE: Wha...huh..But. You? Why do you hate me ?
DJEFF: Lydie, answer to my question. How did we came to the point of hating each others that much ?
She turn her back at him, then try to stand up.
DJEFF: Don't flee...look at me please. It's my last chance to know. It's your last chance to express me all your hate.
She turns back at him.
LYDIE: I don't know. You started with all...this.
He gently remove the hood from her head, and slighly advance his face close to hers. She turns away, and looks down.
DJEFF: Do you feel intimidated ? I can go away if you prefer.
LYDIE: Huh...
DJEFF: Look into my eyes and tell me that you hate me. I swear, I'll never bother you again after that. Just tell me "Djeff I hate you"
Her breathing accelerates, she look up straight into Djeff eyes.
DJEFF: Wait. Before you tell that, you should know that I never hated you, I don't hate you, and I cannot hate you. You know why ? Cuz you are that girl. The girl I was talk...
She brusquely turns her face away and hides with her hands. When he see a tear falling, he straight up, surprised.
DJEFF: Do...don't cry please. I...did I tell something bad ? I'm sorry.
She tries to clean up her eyes, and looks back at him. She tries to say something, but can't help not to cry again. Djeff panicked, hold her in his arms.
LYDIE: Sorry for getting stupidly emotional.
DJEFF: It's okay...
He hugs her more firmly, He lay his back on the wall, she lay her head on his chest.
DJEFF: I'm really, really unable to hate you. Everyone, but not you Lydie.
She smiles slightly. He smile brightly. Then they close their eyes as it is a release for both of them.
It's been some minutes they hugged in the silence of an empty campus.
BAAAM! The door opens. They jump, far away from each other. Djeff goes to another table and Lydie looks down to clean her face.
WILL: HEY. You are not allowed to be in love, make love or fall in love in this room....
DJEFF (Whispering): Too late...
WILL: It's 11:30, but you can go. Because...I have to take a friend at the airport. Put you signature here, and you write the time, mitnight.
They sign and go.
EXT- CAMPUS PARKING- NIGHT
DJEFF: That man is smart. He'll be paid for an unmade Job.
He looks at her and she don't react.
DJEFF: Do you feel better ?
She continues walking silently next to him.
DJEFF:Sorry that I made you cry...
LYDIE: No, you don't have to be sorry. Uhm...actually for your question I don't know. I can't know why I hate...
She is interrrupted by the tears coming. She turns her back at him.
LYDIE: I have to go. I'm tired. See you monday...
As she starts to walk away, he holds her wrist.
DJEFF: I can't let you go like that. Give me at least one smile first.
LYDIE: Stop it...
She starts to get emotional again.
DJEFF (Whispering softly): Come here
He pulls her towards him and hugs her firmly.
LYDIE: I don't know why I'm so emotional right now. Must be fatigue...but I swear, I'm not like that normal...
DJEFF (Interrupting): Shh... let's stay like that till you feel better
LYDIE: What the heck am I doing in my worst enemy's arms ?
DJEFF: Why the heck I don't wanna let my worst enemy go ?
They sigh peacefully.
LYDIE (Whispering): Help...
They close their eyes and listen to the nights silence. Suddenly a torche point at them
A MAN'S VOICE: HEY YOU!
Lydie startle and try to get away from Djeff. He hold her and look at the security man.
DJEFF: We were in detention. We're about to go.
THE MAN: Go faster! The Campus is not les champs Elysés. You have two minutes to take your cars and go.
LYDIE (Whispering): Nice guy
DJEFF: He is jealous of us
He walk her through har car and open the door. She goes in.
DJEFF: Complementary was on Jewel's paper, and write me when you home.
He make a wink.
LYDIE: Yeah right...cool for the complementary thing.
She close the door.
LYDIE:Thanks that you didn't laugh when I cried Djeff
DJEFF: Course not. So bye. Bae.
LYDIE: Pardon me?
He giggles while going to his car. She accelerates, and gets out of the Campus.
EXT- CAMPUS GARDEN- DAY
One week has past since the detention. The six are in their usual place. Djeff and Lydie avoid even looking at each others.
LYDIE: Actually yesterday we made a donation to an hospital in Iglewood.
AXEL: I'm proud of you girls.
PAMELA: Guess what happened there.
The boys are excited to know.
BRIANNA: Aurelie is a panhandler.
Their faces express the surprise.
LYDIE: We saw her, sitting next to a bridge. Asking for money.
PAMELA: That's how she pay the taxi who brings her here everyday.
LORENZO: I can't believe you.
AXEL: Waw...I don't know if I should laugh or feel sorry.
DJEFF: Im definetely sorry for her. I don't like to see people suffering at that point just for money. Just to eat.
BRIANNA: I think that in her case, it's like a Job. She uses that money for the bling-bling.
LORENZO: She invited us next Thursday at her party. If we go there, we'll definitely know if it's true. At least see were she sleep.
LYDIE: And help her if possible.
BRIANNA: Speak of the wolf, and he appears. Look who is coming...
They look at her approaching joyfully.
AURELIE: My friends are here! The team is complete. 7 is actually my lucky number. How are youuu ?
LYDIE: Good and you ?
AURELIE: Good, even though my private driver is annoying! A bit like my boyfriend. Who doesn't even look at me when I speak. DJEFFF ?
He continue typing on his phone, and rise her head slightly to say a cold "hello".
She giggle.
AURELIE: Aww. He is shy. It's cuuute...but you better work it out if you don't want me to break up with you.
She stares at him to see his reaction. He looks up at her sadly. She burst out laughing
AURELIE: Aww. Don't be afraid Djefficute. I was kidding. Girls I have a scoop. Djeff and I NEVER kissed!
They look at her indifferents, and silents.
AURELIE: I swear! Oh you don't seems surprised...
PAMELA: Of course we are! Can't you see it ?
AURELIE: At my party next Thursday ? or now. Come on guys encourage us. First kiss! first kiss !...
She starts singing, and motivate the other to sing with her. Unfortunately her phone bell interrupt her.
AURELIE: My agent...I didn't tell you I got an agent ?
The ringtone stops.
DJEFF: Aurelie, come here please.
AURELIE: Yes babe ?
When she seats next to him, all the group turn at them. Surprised but at the same time attentive.
He takes Aurelie's hand, and she can't stop looking at his lips.
AURELIE: You are gorgeous babe. Finally I get some affection from you.
He put his closed hand on her opened hand.
DJEFF: I just feel like giving today.
When her phone starts to ring again, she stands up anxious, and walk away slowly. The hand Djeff touched is still closed. She pick up the phone but turn back a last time to say goodbye.
AURELIE: Whaaaat ?100 dollars just like that ? Girls I'm sorry but I have to boast. My boy is way better then yours. See you later baby!
She jump away, while talking to the phone.
PAMELA: That girl is a tornado.
AXEL: The problem is she is now convinced that Djeff is her boyfriend.
LORENZO: Man, you gotta tell her one day.
DJEFF: Even if I tell her in her mother language, she won't get it.
Lydie start laughing, but stop when she realise they're all looking at her.
LYDIE: It's all this...Aurelie. She is funny, right ? Well. Girls we have things to do.
PAMELA: What thi...
LYDIE (Interupting): The actual thing.
BRIANNA: Yeah, the actual one...
PAMELA: I actually remember now...
Lydie giggle and they go.
AXEL: Those girls can be so weird...
LORENZO: Did you notice she laughed at Djeff's joke like she was reassured to hear he don't like Aurelie ?
AXEL: Yeah!...Hey Djeff are you here ?
DJEFF: What ?...uhm sorry.
AXEL: Since Monday you can't stop bugging when Lydie is around. What's wrong with you ?
DJEFF: I'm crazy about her.
AXEL & LORENZO: What ?!
DJEFF: I mean she drives me crazy. In a furious way. Not in a good way...
LORENZO: You are furiously crazy about Lydie. Noted.
Djeff stands up and walk to the parking
AXEL: I hope you are not crazy about a girl who really hates you. Or you gonna go crazy for real!
They looks at each others and laugh.
INT- AURELIE'S LIVING ROOM- NIGHT
Aurelie's is on the phone in front of the TV. The bell rings, and she goes to open the door.
LIFERMAN: 10 Pizzas and 20 Beers for... Miss Aurora the Pr...the princess ? Is it here ?
AURELIE: It's my name, yes.
She invite him to come in.
AURELIE: Drop it on the table.
He drops, and gets out.
AURELIE: Here your tips.
LIFERMAN: Oh. You just gave me 100 dollars. Are you sure ?
AURELIE: You can keep it! Don't worry about my wallet. I don't seems like, but I am very rich.
