Shadow

Seulgi yawns after being tired all day. They finally reached their destination.

"Look, Irene"

The falls is heavy pouring before them as the sun sets the horizon above it.

"I knew I was born to see this. Let's go" Seulgi offered her hand to Irene, excited of climbing the falls.

"Are you scared?" Seulgi asks when they reached the top.

"At the count of 3, let's jump together" Seulgi nodded to encourage Irene but the latter with her pale appearance and cold hands doesn't seem to like the idea.

Slowly Seulgi let go of Irene's hand. Because she's impulsive she then said...

"I'm gonna jump alone instead" with a wide smile after Irene to show how her heart was longing to do that thrilling experience.

Even though scared of heights, Irene closed her eyes and followed screaming "Seulgi-yaaah"

The two had a great time. They rested inside a cave covered by the falls. Seulgi built a campfire to make themselves warm. 

Seulgi noticed how the other person seemed quiet, 

"Hey" Seulgi called and as she approached Irene suddenly fell on her arms. She checked up on her forehead and Irene was burning from a fever.

Seulgi hurriedly took off her animal skinned blazer to cover Irene. 

"Wait for me here, I'll go find some herbs and I'll be back."

After looking for some herbs she prepared a soup out of it using the clams she caught as a pot.

She held Irene by her arms all through the night and fed her with medicine she made. 

As Seulgi pats Irene's shoulders she told her the story of the 'Pandora Box'

"Are you sleepy?" Seulgi asks but Irene tried to shake her head.

"I'll show you something." Seulgi placed her hand after the fire to form a shadow on the cave wall.

"Here is a pandora's box. Usually, the more mysterious the box, the more curious you'll be. Interesting isn't it? To know something out of curiosity. This curiosity builds up until it consumes you and neglect the consequences of opening it. Rather than the person curious, I'm the puppet inside the pandora's box. I never wanted to get out of it. I'll either be the surprise they're waiting for or the harm they never wished to happen. Will there be a day one will open me, not just out of curiosity but to free me out of the box?"

As Seulgi was talking she heard a snoring sound and just laugh it off.

"Seems like you're already asleep. Good night, Irene." Seulgi unconsciously gave her a kiss on the forehead. It made her blush after she noticed what she did. 

"Hya" Seulgi slapped her face out of embarrassment. 

"Good night, Seulgi" Irene replied, raising the heartbeat of Seulgi as she widens her eyes after realizing the former was awake.
