  KAT   My father leaves me to do the dishes while he goes and checks on my mother. I keep thinking about what my father said about Luke protecting me from the truth, and as much as I hate to admit it, I would have run if he told me the truth.   'Just like you are running now,' the voice inside my head says loudly.   Shaking my head from side to side, I try and rid myself of the thoughts of betrayal that are consuming my mind.
