After Kat leaves my office, I feel the need for a run. So much has happened over the past twenty-four hours I need some time to process it all.
Reaching out through the mind link, I call out to David. 'I am going for a run. I will check the perimeter for signs of Jeff.'
'I will hold down the fort,' David replies.
'Don't let Kat out of your sight,' I tell him.
I can hear David's sigh through the mind link. 'Will do.'
