CHAPTER 40 Dungeons

  KAT   It is cold and damp. My clothes cling uncomfortably to my skin as I try to regain consciousness. I struggle to open my eyes, but my eyelids feel heavy, and they only flutter open for a few moments at a time. My limbs are stiff and numb as I attempt to lift each one in an attempt to get more comfortable. Slowly, my eyes stay open for a little longer each time. My vision is blurred as I take in my surroundings. Wherever I am is incredibly dark, and I can barely make out the four walls that are containing me.   I sit up on the small cot and my head pounds painfully. I press my fingers to my temples as I try to alleviate the pain, but it is of no use.   I try to remember how I got here in the first place.
