Nina was taken aback with the place Ezra brought her. When he said he was meeting 'Chris', she assumed he was a friend. But the man's condition told her otherwise. He had one trembling hand on the air, as though he could not risk dropping it down. The hand was swollen and covered in dry blood. She could easily tell that he was in intense pain. He had a horrified look as he stared at Ezra. Her gaze travelled from the man to Ezra who had his hands on his pockets, and his gaze fixed on the man. She could already tell that Ezra was behind what happened to his hand. "He is the assistant you told me about?" Nina asked, her voice low. She knew she wasn't supposed to, but she still pitied him.
