The ache for home lives in all of us, the safe place where we can go as we are and not be questioned. - Maya Angelou Their vacation was over.  Everyone cried, kissed, and hugged each other goodbye.  It was hard to say goodbye even though they new it was only for a week or two.  They would be taking their tests and then getting together for the bone marrow donor test results Bella loaded everything into the cab.  As she climbed into the cab, she could smell the musty odor of the people that had been in and out of the cab all day.  She hoped once she was on the plane, she would be able to get a quick nap in. She had hardly slept since finding out Aunt Bonnie was her mother and was exhausted.  Once she arrived at the airport, she checked in, went through the security gate, and boarded her plane.  Looking out the window she began thinking about her family. She had enjoyed spending time with them and would miss them. Abigail exited her cab and hurried to board her flight.  Once the plane was up in the air, she waited for the light to come on allowing her to utilize her laptop.  She quickly looked up Myelodysplastic syndrome.  She had not had time to research the topic when she was with the family but since she was a nurse, she was determined to educate herself on the subject.  She would do whatever was necessary to help her mother get through this. Calista was sad that her vacation was over but excited that she was going to be seeing her boys soon.  She had missed them so much.  It was the longest they had ever spent apart.  She had a lot to get done before she went to get her test done and went to her mom's for the actual procedure. Bella arrived at home.  She looked up at the cute brownstone rental she had made her home. She felt happy to be at home.  She had worked hard to make it feel like a home, but it could not fill the loneliness she often felt.   Abigail went up the stairs and entered her flat.  It was beautiful.  Slick, modern, and minimalist was her style.  She stood in the doorway thinking how lonely she was.  Calista was greeted at the door by her boys.  She was so glad to see them. She hugged them tightly.  They were asking her a hundred questions.  She laughed and told them to let her catch her breath.  As her neighbor walked out towards her own home, she thanked her for watching her boys.
