Chapter 5
Elara
The pack soldiers dragged me back to the pack house and into Alpha Ace’s room. Compared to mine, it was much larger, more luxurious and much darker. His bedsheets were black, his comforter as well, and his wall was a mixture of black and grey. There were paintings on the wall, but I was drawn to a particular picture frame right next to his bedside.
A young lady stood next to him, her smile so bright it could melt the world's pain. He was smiling as well, his hands protectively wrapped around her waist, and I never thought I'd get to see him smile so warm. He was happy with her, his mate, but his whole life became dark without her around.
Losing his mate still gave him no right to treat me this way, I couldn't bring myself to feel bad for him. He deserved each thing he got, and I hoped he'd lose more people important to him. I stood right next to the door, wondering where he was, and after a few seconds, he stepped out of the bathroom with a small towel around his waist.
I'd seen him naked countless times, but this time, as I stared at his body, all I felt was disgust, anger, rage. Strangers would be attracted, fascinated by his toned muscles and beautiful appearance, but I wasn't even moved by his face or body. I had so much hate for him, I'd like to see him dead the next day.
He took slow strides towards me, holding the towel on his waist. “You tried to escape. Again.”
He walked past me towards his closet and grabbed a few clothes to wear. He didn't bother to cover himself up. He was calm, carefully and shamelessly putting on every piece before taking a seat a few meters away from me.
He crossed his legs and grabbed an empty glass. He reached for the bottle of wine next to him and poured it slowly, “You tried to escape twice within one week, Elara. I thought I made you miserable enough to remind you no one dares to go against my orders. I don't like it when people make me angry.” He took a small sip of the wine and swallowed hard. He gestured his hands towards me, urging me to step forward and I remained rooted to the spot with my heart thumping loudly in my chest.
He was definitely going to kill me.
“Kneel.” He whispered, his eyes fixed on the glass in his hands, “I could as well order my men to behead you for trying to escape for the second time, Elara. I gave you a choice and you picked death, do you badly want to die?”
I felt my legs give away as I fell to the ground, slowly raising my head to stare at him. I balled my hands into fists, feeling the insane urge to snap his head from his body.
Since he knew I desired death, he could have allowed me to die. He shouldn't have saved me, brought me back to his world filled with misery. My hands trembled as anger surged through my veins, but I kept them at bay, careful not to wake the sleeping lion. He leaned forward and grabbed my chin, “Answer me, Elara. You badly want to die?”
I shook my head, choking a sob, “I don't.”
“Then why did you escape?” His voice was calm, but I knew it was only because of the raging storm brewing within him. I averted my gaze, not wanting to stare into his eyes, but he tightened his grip on my jaw, forcing me to stare at him, “Tell me why you f*****g tried to escape!”
“Because you're a monster.” I whispered, lowering my gaze to stare at the ground. He didn't seem to hear me, so I repeated the words, looking right into his eyes, “because you are a monster, a r****t and a heartless asshole.”
His eyes widened as he stared back at me, perhaps shocked I talked back at him for the first time, but all I felt was rage. Since he was going to kill me, I could as well tell him everything I'd been bottling up for years.
His grip on my chin loosened as he leaned backwards, “What did you just say, Elara? What did you just call me?”
My heart raced as I got up slowly, but I didn't back down. I pointed at the picture frame at the side of his bed, “I don't know her but she'll never be happy if she finds out you've turned this way. I don't know if the rumors are true, but why did you change? Why did you become a ruthless man who terrifies a helpless little girl?!”
“Elara.” He growled, tapping his feet impatiently, but I paid no attention to him.
I took another step backwards, “What? Now you're going to kill me for saying the truth? Your mate is dead, she's f*****g dead. I know you want revenge, but will this bring her back? You'll never get to see her again, you're only ruining yourself, shattering your soul.”
“You are a monster, that's what you are—” He got up swiftly and wrapped his fingers around my neck as he slammed me hard against the wall and I felt the life I had just regained slowly crawling away due to the painful impact of the collision. He slowly walked towards me and held my neck firmly with nothing but killing intent in his eyes as he tightened his grip on my throat.
“You’re not allowed to talk about her with your filthy little mouth.” He growled, his orbs flickering between green and yellow. He was losing control, his wolf was threatening to control him, but he seemed to have the upper hand. As he tightened his hold, my lungs was welling up within, I couldn't breathe. My fingers became numb as I tried to break free from his wrist, mumbling “please–” with muffled breath.
“Please?” He laughed, dropping me to the ground harshly, “You didn't think about the consequences of your words before blurting them out.”
I scurried backwards, eager to get out of the room, but he was near me again, his hands loosely wrapped around my neck. He dragged me towards the couch and sat down calmly, “Since you can't shut your trap, get your mouth to work.”
My lips trembled as I glared hard at him. He was trying to punish me again, f**k my mouth hard and leave my cheeks sore. I shook my head, trying to move backwards, but he wrapped his arms around my neck,
“This time, I'm not giving you a choice.” He sneered.
I knew that'd be the only ticket to getting out of the room with my head on my neck so I slowly unbuckled his pants and lowered my head, taking in his tip. He groaned, grabbing my disheveled hair and forcing me to take him all in. I tried to resist, shaking my head as my mouth began to hurt, but he didn't release my head. Instead he moved his hips, ramming into my mouth with no care in the world.
My eyes burned as my stomach clenched. All I felt was disgust, kneeling before him and sucking him dry. Suddenly, a nauseous feeling overwhelmed me, getting me all dizzy as my mouth felt bitter. Alpha Ace moved faster, but I could feel something rise within me, and before I knew it, I puked all over his c**k.
Just before he could express his anger, I wiped my lips and dashed out of his room without taking a moment to spare him a glance.
I could hear his angry footsteps behind me as I found an open spot behind the castle to empty my stomach.
“Elara. Are you pregnant?” I heard his cold voice ask as I wiped my mouth, I went still.
