Lila and Georgia walked back to their room, deep in thought. They couldn't stop thinking about the alpha's words – James had been working with someone else. "Who do you think it could be?" Georgia asked, breaking the silence. "I don't know," Lila replied, "but I think we need to be careful. James is desperate, and desperate people do desperate things." As they entered their room, Lila noticed a piece of paper on the floor. She picked it up and examined it. It was a note, written in a familiar handwriting. "What's this?" Lila asked, showing the note to Georgia. Georgia's eyes widened. "It's from James," she said. Lila's eyes scanned the note. "It says 'Meet me at the old oak tree at midnight. Come alone.'"
