Kai was walking around the streets of New York with Victoria on the phone with him, “I’m just going to buy something from the market then I’ll be back in my apartment in an hour.”
He could hear papers ruffling in the background, “alright then. I’ll go there after I’m done here. Johanne asked for my help with this newspaper that published something about them again. I thought they had already stopped snooping around, but here they are again. I just hope this is the last time.”
“Do you need me to go there instead?” Kai stopped walking.
“No, I want to get out of the mansion. I feel more comfortable in your apartment. I could honestly sleep better there,” Victoria said, making Kai smile.
