(Johanne’s wedding day...)
Lucas was watching the morning news about Johanne’s wedding when he heard a soft knock on the door. He looked at his wife who was still in deep sleep on her hospital bed. He leaned down and kissed her hand then stood up and opened the door. He was surprised to see Hannah standing by the door.
“Hey.”
It took a lot from Lucas to stop himself from hugging Hannah. He glanced at his wife and then looked back at Hannah.
“Hi.”
Hannah glanced at his wife, “can I talk to you for a second?”
Lucas nodded, “do you want to come in?”
“No… I just uhm… I just want to tell you that I have a wedding to attend today.”
He chuckled quietly, "I noticed the dress."
She smiled, making Lucas sigh, “I just also want to thank you for what you did for me.”
