(Tuesday till Isla’s graduation…)
Isla woke up and squinted her eyes from the sun’s light passing through the window pane. She turned her head on the other side of the bed and Johanne wasn’t there. She lifts her head and just in time Johanne walks in with a breakfast tray.
“Good morning! Here’s your breakfast,” he smiled. It made her smile back.
She chuckled with her eyes closed, “wow, thank you. I’m still a little tired from your cravings yesterday. I was hoping to get more sleep today.”
Johanne put down the tray and climbed up to the bed. He pulled the duvet and slid himself next to Isla, “we could just stay home today and have dinner with Hannah tonight and your best friend.”
