I’m not in the best mood this morning, considering I had the most amazing s*x with Ivy hours before. After waking up in my empty bed, I became a bit frantic until I checked my surveillance video and saw that Ivy had left on her own. Fists curled, I observed her assistant picking her up in her car.
I racked my brain to find a reason why she’d run and concluded that she still thinks I’m engaged.
At first, I considered following her but then changed my mind. We’ve both been through some things and can use the day to cool down.
Seeing that I need to work, I meet Micah and Priest at the airstrip and join the search for Silas.
The boneyard is deep below the airstrip and littered with airplane parts. As we circle the area, we see a blood trail, but Sila’s body is nowhere to be found.
