Chapter 6: Promise

Lily was trying to talk to Charlie, who just kept fighting. "Charlie, we need your help, please! The whole world could be. destroyed and-" But she was stabbed by Charlie's sword. The yellow quickly dissapeared from their eyes. They realized what had just happened. They dropped the weapon, and held Lily in their arms. "I still love you, Charlie. I believe you can still help them all. You give Cainterra hell for me, okay?" Charlie wanted to say they loved her too, but they were already mute and unable to speak. They nodded, promising to at least weaken Cainterra and cause her great pain. Lily died, and Charlie cried. "Well, it's nice to have you back." Emily said to Charlie as she left the castle. Charlie sat there, holding Lily. They began to question if they were meant to be the reverse zombie, and if any of this was worth it. They could only use the runes in their Angel form now, and the world was probably about to be destroyed. They walked outside to meet with Emily. Then, the two walked to Serif's. "Heya, kiddo, what's wrong -" Charlie ran and hugged their caretaker. "They lost Lily. She's gone, now." Emily told him. "Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that. Charlie, are you okay?" That voice sounded familiar. Too familiar. Charlie grabbed their sword incredibly quickly and pointed it at Jessica, who was somehow alive and breathing.
