Stuck Between Brothers

Chapter 7: 18 years old

Me and Lucas have been dating for 3 months now. Our s*x life is very active and since the first time, I got on birth control. I really love Lucas, I am so thankful that I gave us a chance. We never argue, I honestly think us being best friends beforehand made a huge difference in our relationship. Tonight, Im having a birthday bonfire out at The Spot.

The Spot is just a place where teenagers go and hang out. Generation after generation has used this spot for parties, and tonight its just fitting. I'm finally 18, and in a few months we will be graduating high school. We both chose to go to a community college thats local. Its also the same one Josh goes to.

Josh seemed uninterested by our relationship. Sometimes I see him watching us, but mostly he keeps his distance. He definitely wont talk to me. All I get are grunts, shoulder shrugs and head nods. It still bothers me though. Even though me and Lucas are together, somewhere deep in my heart are feelings for Josh. That doesnt mean I love Lucas any less, but I felt things for Josh for a long time and those feelings dont just disappear overnight.

Getting ready, I decided to go with my signature braid. My hair is down to the middle of my back now, and I've been contemplating on whether or not to cut it off. Once I finish the braid, I grab a black crop top, and some jean shorts. They aren't too short but go to my mid thigh. I grab my boots and lace them up. The Spot is in the middle of the woods and I'd be stupid to wear anything else.

I do some light make up, and finish just in time to go meet Lucas outside. I grab my phone and house keys and walk out of my room.

"Happy birthday Princess." Uncle Donnie says, walking up to me. He brings me in for a big bear hug and kisses the top of my head.

"Thanks Uncle." I give him a big kiss on the cheek.

"I got you something." He says as he takes a box out of his pocket. I give a squeal and grab the box and open it. Inside there was a heart shaped necklace with a little pink ball in the middle.

"Hold it up to the light and look through the ball." He tells me, so I do. I see a picture of me and my dad. Im sitting on his knee, with chocolate all over my face. This was the night of the fair, where we rode rides all night long. We ate every kind of fried food that day, and I puked it all out. Only to eat more. This was the last picture I had with my dad.

"Thank you." I said while my tears fell from my eyes. Uncle Donnie brings me in for a hug and another head kiss.

"I love you Princess. No crying on your birthday." He says while wiping my tears away. I give him a small smile and hand the necklace to him. He puts it around my neck and I move my braid out of the way. I place my hand over the necklace and just hold it there for a minute.

"Knock Knock." I hear from the front door as Lucas makes his way in. He gives me the biggest smirk with the most beautiful dimples. He runs to me and sweeps me off my feet spinning me around.

"Easy there tiger, you just saw her this morning." Uncle Donnie says while chuckling to himself. I blush and Lucas grins.

"I know, but any time apart feels like forever." Lucas says while he kisses my cheek. Lucas got me a ring for my birthday. He said it was a promise ring. Its beautiful and simple, just the way I like it.

"Hey LuLu, you ready to go?" I ask

"Yep!" He said popping the P.

"Hey you kids, no drinking tonight. I know what goes on at these parties. No alcohol, no drugs. Dont give in to peer pressure.No drinking and driving, dont get in any vehicle with someone who was drinking and driving." My Uncle Donnie gave us his normal speech.

"Yes sir!" Lucas says while saluting my Uncle.

"We know, we know. Love you Uncle." I roll my eyes and give his a kiss on his cheek as I walk out the door.

On the drive there, Lucas couldnt keep his hands off me. He was rubbing my thigh and would get really close to my crotch snd move his hand away quickly. He kept winking at me.

Tonight after the party, was going the be the first night of me officially sleeping over at his house. We told our parents and they agreed. So he had a lot of plans in store for us. To say I was excited is an understatement.

We pull up to the party which is alresdy in full swing. Everybody is here. I mostly stick to Lucas, but we do have other friends.

"Oh Em Geeeee" I hear a squeal as we get out of the car. I look over and see Tiara running at us. Tiara is my only girl friend. Well, not the only one. Just the one Im closest to.

"Hey Tiara!" I say while giving her a big hug.

"Come, lets go!" She grabs my hand and drags me off. I quickly reach back for Lucas and pull him along with me. She pulls us to the keg and grabs three plastic cups.

"Here!" She handed us our cups.

"I dont think so Tiara." I said. I have never drank. Its just not something that ever interested me.

"Oh come on Jude! Its your 18th birthday, Live a little!" She growled the last part. I chuckle and take a sip of my beer.

"GROSS." I say. Tiara and Lucas bust out laughing.

"You get used to the flavor." Lucas says while downing his drink. I follow his lead and chug mine down. Lucas likes to party and enjoys drinking. Im usually the DD but tonight is my night and I decided to live a little, like Tiara said.

"Wooooo." Lucas yells as I finish my drink. Tiara fills our cups again and we chug them down.

"Lets go dance!" She says and grabs my hand pulling me to the other moving bodies.

We sway together, and Tiara grinds on me. We like to have fun when we dance. Im starting to feel a little tipsy after two more cups of beer. Lucas was right, you get used to the taste.

"Lets go get another drink." I tell her. We walk together, hand in hand, back to the keg. She fills up our cups and we both start drinking them down.

"Lets go play beer pong!" She yells at me over the music. I follow her to the beer pong table and play a few rounds with her.

"Hey, have you seen Lucas?" I ask. I just now realized I hadn't seen him since we got here.

"I havent. Want to go look for him?" She asks. I nod my head and we start walking around. We ask a few different people and they point us different ways. I walk up to Jordan, Lucas' best friend.

"Hey Jordo, have you seen Lucas?" I ask him.

"Hey Jude!" Jordan throws his arms over my shoulder. Hes definitely drunk.

"Have. You. Seen. Lucas." I repeat slowly for him.

"He just went over there." He says pointing towards the cars. I grab Tiaras hand and make my way towards Lucas' car. I start getting a nervous feeling deep in my belly as we get close and I dont see him. One car had foggy windows and we could hear sounds as we start to walk by.

I look over at my friend who's jaw is on the ground. She grabs the door and yanks it open and my stomach lurches. I puked everywhere. All over the two people in the car.

When she opened the door, we saw Lucas on top of Mia. MIA! Of all people, he went to Mia. their head were towards the door we opened and both looked right at us. I heard a squishy pop sound as he pulled out of her and thats when I covered them both in my vomit. Served them right.

"Ahhhhh. f*****g freak." I hear Mia screech. I couldn't stop the tears coming out of my eyes as I took off running.

"You bastard!" I heard Tiara yell at him as she went to follow me.

"Jude!!" I heard Lucas yell. I didnt stop. I kept running. I left my own party, my boyfriend cheated on me with my worst enemy, and I'm drunk.

While running through the woods, I finally made my way to the road. I started walking towards my house. All I could do was sob. Lucas cheated on me. On my birthday. He just gave me a promis ring and then went and slept with Mia. How long had that been going on? I gave myself to him. I gave him my everything and he just throws it away.

I come up to the bridge that my dad drove his car off of. I look over the side, down the cliff and in to the water. I hear a car approaching and turn myself so they wont see my face.

"Judey girl?" I hear from the window as the car slows down. Looking over I see Josh. I couldnt hold back the tears as I looked into his eyes and felt comfort. Hitting my knees, I lost it. The sobs that wrecked my body were the same as when I was here 10 years ago when I found out my dad died.

"Hey, Hey. Come here." Josh says, getting out if his car and coming over to me. He wraps his arms around me and sits next to me while I cry.

"What happened? Where's Lucas?" Josh asks with worry on his face.

"f**k Lucas. Take me home Joshie." I beg. Josh picks me up and puts me in his car. He buckles me in and drives me home. Once home, he lifts me out of the car and carries me inside. He takes me to my room and sets me down. Taking my socks and shoes off, he then pulls the blanket over me and kisses my head. When he turns to leave, I grab his hand.

"Will you stay with me?" I whisper. He looks at me in confusion. I was still crying and closed my eyes.

"You don't have to. I just dont want to be alone." I say. Josh sighs, and I hear his shoes and clothes hit the ground as he crawls in bed with me. He gets under the blanket and pulls me close. I snuggle deep in his side and start to fall asleep.

"Happy birthday Judey Girl." I hear him say as he kisses the top of my head. I fall asleep being held by the brother of the man who broke me.
