Chapter 9: Lucas vs. Josh

I walk out in to the living room to see both Lucas and Josh yelling in eachothers faces. Lucas looks rough. He has a black eye and a split lip, and I think I see a bruise along his jaw. Good. He deserved it.

"Why are you here, Josh?" Lucas yells.

"Because I want to be. Why are you here?" Josh throws back.

"It's MY girlfriends house." Lucas says as he looks over to me. He starts to walk towards me and Josh puts his arm up in Lucas' way.

"You dont get to call her that." Josh growled out.

"Move, now." Lucas says equally as angry.

"Jude." He pleads with me. "Please, can we just talk about this?" The boys got some nerve.

"Leave, Lucas. You've done enough." Tiara sneers at him.

"How long?" I ask. My boice barely above a whisper.

"How long what?" Lucas asks.

"How long have you been f*****g Mia!" I yell. Lucas looks shocked.

"That was the first time, I swear Jude. Please let me explain." He says.

"Go on then, explain." I said using as much hatred I could form in my voice.

"I-I-I took E." He mumbled. E?

"Whats E?" I asked.

"Ecstasy. I got me and you both some so that we could have fun last night. I took mine after we got to the party and by the time it kicked in, I had no idea where you were." He said like that excuses his behavior.

"So you planned to get me drunk, give me drugs, and just expected me to be ok with it?" I seriously can't believe the nerve. I mightve drank last night, but I would never do drugs.

"JuJu please. " He is crying. He is crying, but im the one who was cheated on.

"YOU TRIED TO GIVE MY NIECE DRUGS!" I hear my uncle's voice boom behind me. Ope.

"Sir. I-I-I.." He couldnt even finish his sentence before Josh throws a punch meeting with his jaw.

"Get out of my house Lucas. You're no longer welcomed here." My uncle says, extremely calm. Which is terrifying.

Josh goes to throw Lucas out of the door and I stopped him.

"Wait! Why Mia?" I ask. My eyes are already starting to tear up again.

"She started to come on to me. She was rubbing my arms and chest and with the Ecstasy, it felt so good and I couldn't help it." He says with tears flowing down his cheeks.

"You could've looked for me. I WAS THERE! It was my birthday, Lucas." I yell as I walk towards him.

"I will never forgive you for this." I say as I slip his promise ring off my finger.

"Here. I dont need this anymore. Leave me alone Lucas." I turned to walk away.

"So thats it? After everything, you're done?" He pleads with me. "We made a promise not to lose our friendship if we didnt work out. I cant lose you Jude."

"Promise? Lose me? Lucas you gave me a promise ring and then in the same day, you f****d the leader of the f**k squad. I never thought you would cheat on me when I made that promise. Never. I thought you were better than that. All I see when I close my eyes is your c**k inside of her. And you want forgiveness? No, Lucas. You get none. We're done. We're over. Have a nice life." I say this all in one breath. I turn back and walk to my Uncles open arms.

"Fine, Jude. Go ahead and be done. I can't believe I even tried when you hopped in bed with my brother first chance you got. You never got over him and I never stood a chance, did I?" He yells.

"I did NOTHING with Josh, you dipshit. He brought me home and cuddled with me while I cried myself to sleep! I loved you Lucas. I was in love with you! I was happy with you and I actually saw us getting married and having a family together. You dont get to throw my feelings for Josh in to this. You f****d up Lucas, not me." I say as calmly as I can. His pockets must be deep to be careying around all that audacity.

"Its time for you to go." Josh says as he shovez Lucas out of the house and closes the door. Josh then turns to me and starts walking to me.

"Come on Judey girl. Weren't we going to get some breakfast?" He smiles at me. I look at Tiara and she nods.

"Whats going on princess?" Uncle Donnie asked me.

"Lucas cheated on me." I said while sighing.

"When?!" He yells.

"Last night." I whisper.

"Oh he's done it now." Uncle Donnie grabbed his wallet and walked out of the house. I just shrug. I felt numb.

Josh wrapped his arm around my shoulder and pulled me through the door. Tiara grabbed my bag and keys and followed us silently.

"So you have feelings for me, huh?" Josh joked while shooting me a killer smile.

"So not the right time, buddy." Tiara shot back.

I just laughed. I couldnt stop. I just let it all out. All my frustrations. All my heartbreak. All my feelings for the last 4 years. I probably sounded psychotic, but I couldnt stop. Josh and Tiara nervously joined in my laughter and soon we were all hugging our bellies with tears streaming down our faces from laughing so hard.

"I cant" gasp "believe" gasp "I puked in their faces."

"Thats the best kind of payback." Tiara belted out.

"Could you imagine just getting it on and the boom, puke everywhere?!" Josh says gasping for breath.

"You called Mia the leader of the f**k squad!" Tiara yells. At this point were all laying on our back in my front yard laughing.

"They all sleep with anything that moves, its fitting!" I cry out. "They used to be the duck squad, now theyre the f**k squad." I said wiping tears out of the corner of my eyes.

"Mia and the f**k squad. I like it." Tiara laughs.

"YOU DID WHAT?!" I hear Mrs.Bettie scream out.

"Oh s**t. Lets go!" I yell as we all jump up and head for Josh's car. We all laughed the entire way to the diner.

As we took our seats, Tiara sat opposite of me. She gave me a wink as Josh sat next to me. Tiara is the only one other than Lucas that knew I had feelings for Josh.

"Im Jessie and Ill be your waiter today, what can I get started for you?"

We all ordered our drinks first. I got orange juice, Tiara got coffee, and Josh got water. As we look over our menus, Tiara and Josh start bickering.

"Sea otters are cute but they are horrible creatures!" Josh yells.

"They most certainly are not, Josh!" Tiara yells back.

"Dont believe me? Google what sea otters do to baby seals." Josh insisted.

"FINE." Tiara says.

After a few moments, I watched her face go from being cocky to being completely horrified.

"Oh. My. Gosh. No!" She looks like shes in shock. Tears are forming in her eyes.

"But...But...Oh those poor baby seals" She cries out.

"Told you." Josh says while taking a drink of his water.

"I have to find a new favorite animal!" She yells.

"You could always pick seals." Josh cracks a smile. I elbow him in the ribs. "What, too soon?" He winks at me.

"Oh looky who we have here." Oh no. Her voice is like nails on a chalk board.

"Oh looks guys! Its Mia and her f**k squad." I say while trying to contain my smile.

"Excuse me?" She looks completely taken off guard.

"You heard her." Josh says as he puts his arms around my shoulders. Mia looked pissed.

"So you went from one brother right to the next. Didnt even take you a full 24 hours." She sneers. She really thinks she got me good.

"You're one to talk, Mi-ya." I replied. Her face is an ugly red.

"Hey Mia, I think I see some chunks in your hair." Tiara chokes out.

Mia panicked and swatted at her hair. "Very funny" She said while rolling her eyes.

"Joshie, why dint you come sit with us, instead of the losers." Mia tried her best to sound sexy but really she sounded whiny.

"No thanks." Josh make a fake gagging sound when he looked at me. I bursted out laughing.

"You always come back to me Josh." Mia screeches. Josh looks at her and raises an eyebrow. Then a big grin formed on his face.

"Why would I when I have this?" He shot back. Next thing I know, his lips are against mine. I didnt even try to fight him. I just kissed him back. I felt his tongue trace the seam of my lips, asking for entrance. I granted it. I let his tongue explore my mouth. I sucked his tongue even deeper in to my mouth and he groaned.

"Ughhhhhh!" We hear Mia yell out and stomp away. Josh didnt pull back when she left. At this moment it felt like we were the only two people here. I wrapped my arms around his neck and he placed his hands on either side of my face. This kiss was different than anything I've ever felt. Lucas' kiss has never felt like this.

"ah-hum" Tiara cleared her throat, but we were so lost in eachother we didnt hear.

"Ow!" Josh yells as he breaks our kiss. Shooting daggers at Tiara, he bent down and rubbed his leg.

"She kicked me!" He says painfully. I couldnt help the giggle that slipped out.

"As hot as that make out session was, Mia walked away like 5 minutes ago." Wagging her eyebrows at me, she continued, "Im going to have to go find some hunk to suck faces with after seeing that." I blushed deeply.

What am I doing? I just broke up with Lucas and here I am, publicly kissing Josh.
