POV DESMOND
We waited until the sun went down for Nathaniel to drive me back to my place. He dropped me off with a promise to return and that he had one of Dedra's men always watching me. I quickly made my way upstairs and took a much-needed shower.
I didn't bother turning my phone back on just yet. I knew I would have a million messages from my uncle. I didn't even want to think about what Thomas could have sent me. I considered just throwing the phone away but realized I would need it for the mission later.
After I showered and put on a fresh pair of clothes, I made my way back down to my car. I stopped short when I realized that I had left it at the warehouse after Thomas took me. I sighed and called Nigel instead.
