Pearl's Magic

1099 Words
The sapphire and pearl rested in front of me. Everyone appears ti think I have gone insane when I told them I felt the magic come off of them this morning. Cooper decided to have a "manly" conversation with David, what ever that means. That just gives me time to figure out why I felt the magic this morning, but now I can't. I can see the maic, but it is very faint. They are connected, but just not strong enough yet, confirming that I do need all seven stones.     I sighed and began to mess with a fruit plant, growing it quicker just so I may have something to snack on. The fruit is sweet but I always forget the names. "Why am I thinking so much on this?" I wondered aloud.      I picked up the pearl and set it in the bowl of water I had setting on the side. The water glowed slightly before going clear once more. "Um, weird...okay, let's see if anything else happens." I stared at the water for a while longer. "Okay, nothing. Oh well."      "I cut myself. Evie, heal me!" Cooper demanded as he entered our room. I glowered at him as he showed me the deep cut on his right hand. I picked up a cloth and dipped it into the bowl with the pearl. I wrung the water out and then cleaned his cut.     I washed the cloth out but quickly got confused as to why the water didn't go pink. I turned to Cooper, only to find him staring at his hand oddly. "What's wrong with you?" I asked.     "You cleaned my hand and the cut healed." Cooper said in shock. I turned to the bowl with the pearl and grinned.      "The pearl has healing powers. I wonder what else it can do. If the pearl heals, then can it kill as well?" I wondered. "So much to learn but not enough time. Cooper, leave me so I can figure this pearl out." I ordered as I picked it up and studied it.     "You've been staring intently at that thing all day. I want some loving." Cooper whined. I rolled my eyes as he plopped his head in my lap and started messing with the hem of my shirt. "Love me." He demanded.     "Do you want the war over?" He nodded. "Do you want a family in the near future?" Another nod. "Then let me figure this out." He huffed.      "I feel so rejected right now." He whined. I glowered at him again. I wish I had a thing of water to throw at you, I mentally yelled. I temporarily forgot our thoughts are connected when we are near each other. The next thing I knew, the bowl of water in front of me went flying at Cooper. He stood there, dumbfounded at what just happened. I burst out laughing after a moment.     "Oh this is great. Anything with water I get to control." I giggled as he glared at me. "Quit looking at me like that. You have my attention all the time." `    "Doesn't mean you have to attack me with your magic." He growled.     "Are you seriously going to go down that road?" I snapped.     "All you ever do is use magic. It's like you want me to feel lower! You use magic everyday. I liked you better when you didn't have that much magic." Cooper snapped. "All you care about is this war and your magic. You barely have enough time for me. I knew you would be hard to get along with and have trouble with relationships, but there is no need to push me away like you do. The bond is supposed to pull us together, not apart."     "First of all, there is so many things wrong with what you just said. Second of all, of course I'm going to focus on the war! That's all I have ever really been focus on. You knew what you were getting yourself into when we bonded, even before that! Don't put all the blame on me. I'm not good with relationships. The only relationship I have had is you and one other. I was abused! I am still getting used to the concept of being married." I snarled.     "Then maybe we shouldn't have." Cooper growled. I didn't get a chance to say anything before he stormed out of the room.     I stared at the empty doorway, trying to figure out what the hell just happened. "I am so in need of Jenna right now. She would know what the hell to do." I muttered. "I don't get it. Isn't the bond supposed to keep this from happening? He just basically said that he regrets bonding with me. Did I make another mistake it my life. One that will cost me my future?"     Ten mminutes passed before Villy came in with a look of concern. I put on a fake smile and held up the peaarl. "I figured it out!" I declared in fake happiness. She gave me a knowing look but said nothing.     "Do you want to talk about it?" She asked instead.     "Not really?" I asked more than answered. She sat next to me and patted my arm.     "Your bond with Cooper is...different. You two are still learning to love and trust one another. You will forgive him and he will forgive you." Villy assured me.     "I don't know. He basically said he regrets bonding with me...so, yeah. I ruin everything. I don't think I can be in the same room with him right now." I told her. When I looked at her fully, I could see a burning anger in her eyes. It's so different from the kind hearted woman you always see.     "Stay right here. I'll be back." Villy got up with such determination, no one could stop her if they wanted to. Afte a good ten minutes, I heard some shouting, a slap against skin and soon Alexis came running in.     "Villy informed David and I what happened. You and I are going to be going away for a few weeks to deal with some things. Bring the pearl and sapphire so you can practice with the magic, okay? I already have bags backed and a portal ready for us to step through to our destination." Alexis grabbed my arm before I could say anything. We were gone and through the portal before I knew it.
