Chapter 60 - Our Future
“Maybell where do you see us in 7 years?”
The question came quietly from Isiah’s lips as they drove leisurely together back in his car to her apartment. Her car was still at Dr Lilianna’s office, but Isiah and Maybell were both tired and a little buzzed after their two glasses of wine.
Following their talk their food had eventually been brought to their table and the bottle of wine popped open for them both to enjoy. They ate deeply, both of them seemingly exhausted and drained from a long day of emotional highs and rock bottom feelings.
And yet Maybell was surprised at herself that despite not being able to choke down much food the last few days she managed to eat all of her pasta and three garlic bread sticks.
