Chapter 46 - Core On the third day of meetings Dr Humble took her in and their session began and yet Maybell sensed a shift in the air as they talked. Shes wasting my time…Its not…the issues aren’t going away Maybell thought, and the thoughts churned and roiled in her head and heart like coals in an oven. Maybell felt unhappy and the sense only grew as she felt like all this talking and pouring out emotions wasn’t getting her anywhere. Mostly because Dr Juliana Humble in their previous meetings had been taciturn and quite brusque, an attitude that chaffed and rubbed Maybell raw and then more sore in a place she could barely describe, but felt dangerous. Maybell found her frustration matching the terse woman’s reactions like oil to water…and Maybell began to feel both despair and sharp
