After Shane returned home, a mysterious guy was running as if he had something important to do and he bumped into grace. "I'm sorry" he said and walked away as if nothing had happened. Grace rubbed her eyes, wondering if she was dreaming. That man looked like someone she knew, but she couldn't quite place him. She looked around to see if there was anyone she could ask, but the crowd was so thick that she couldn't find anyone she recognized.
As she stood there pondering, her phone pinged. It was a message from her friend Shane, asking if she wanted to grab coffee after the concert. Grace smiled, grateful for the distraction. She quickly typed a reply, agreeing to meet up with him.
As she walked towards the exit, she couldn't help but keep an eye out for the mysterious man. He had left such an impression on her that she couldn't shake the feeling that she needed to know who he was. She pushed her way through the crowd, her heart racing, trying to catch a glimpse of him.
As she was about to give up, she saw him again in the distance. This time, she wasn't going to let him slip away. She pushed her way through the throngs of people, dodging elbows and shoulders to get closer to him. As she finally reached him, she was out of breath and covered in sweat.
"Excuse me," she said, trying to catch her breath. "I'm sorry for bumping into you earlier. I was just wondering if we've met before."
The man looked at her quizzically. "I'm not sure," he said finally. "I'm sorry, I don't think we've met."
Grace was disappointed, but not deterred. "Oh, okay. Well, sorry for bothering you. Have a good day."
As she turned to walk away, he spoke again.
"You know," he said. "You look really familiar too. I just can't place where I know you from."
Grace's heart leapt in her chest. Maybe there was a chance she could figure this out after all.
