Without being told, Regina realized she would regret this decision for the rest of her life. But because she is the kind who thinks of others before herself, she is ready to let go of her desire. What matters most is her sisters' happiness.
Roland was desperate. Known as a man who always has his way, he is ready to do anything to win her consent. His voice was in a whisper when he asked, "Would you reconsider your decision if I gave you a reason to?"
"There is no reason stronger than a family bond. "
Regina frowned, she had always known she was adopted. Her foster parents had been open about it from the start.
"They aren't treating you as one," Roger mumbled. Having built a lot of imagination around his mate, he was shocked to learn that he had been rejected.
Roland smiled at his brother and said in a voice filled with affection, "Let me handle this," then turned to Regina, "Your adoption wasn't legally registered, it's a kind of get-together decision and not valid under the court of law."
Even though Regina was befuddled hearing this, she made a straight face and let out, "That proves nothing. I still bear Lindsey's name and will forever be associated with them."
"Not if you have a reason not to."
"Give me a reason, Roland, and stop beating around the bush."
"I was at the packed archive one rainy afternoon and was sorting out some documents when I stumbled upon a dusty, old box. Inside, I found a stack of letters and a faded picture of a young couple holding a baby. The letter was addressed to my father, and it revealed a dark and terrifying truth. Your biological parents were murdered, and Harold Lindsey's name keeps coming up. I believe he was involved."
Regina looked into Roland's eyes for a glint of amusement. Seeing how serious he was made her look faint. "You are kidding, right?"
"No, I'm not. One of the letters was written by your mother. She detailed the events leading to their death and begged my father to protect their daughter."
Regina always had a lingering curiosity about her parents. Who were they, and why did they give her up? Never in her wildest imagination had she thought they were murdered and forced to give her up. "Do you still have the letter?"
"I hid the photograph and letter, and then hurried out of the archives when I heard my father's footsteps."
"What was the reason for their death?" Regina finally asked, after cleaning a droplet of tears rolling down her face.
"I don't remember much. It's been a long time ago, and besides, I was there for another purpose and not to dig for your secret."
Roger closed his open jaw and mind-linked to his brother. "You have never told me this before."
"I'm sorry. It wasn't a big deal back then. I never knew it would be useful.'
Unaware of the conversation between the two brothers, Regina closed her eyes as a torrent of emotions washed over her. How possible is it that the man who had raised her was responsible for the greatest tragedy of her life?
"Your concern is now ours. Be at ease, we will unravel the mystery and secrecy around this," Roland said in a lower voice.
Regina was speechless and could only nod her head. She had been filled with lies all her life. Now she was so confused and didn't even know what to think or believe.
Roland placed Regina's palm on his chest and mumbled, " I have always imagined a day like this. A day when I will place my mate's palm on my chest," he smiled cynically, "the goddess be praised that it comes to pass."
Regina could feel the rise and fall of Roland's chest, and this alone strangely aroused her. And when Roger's hand touched her skin, a shiver ran down her spine. What has the goddess gotten her into?
"I want to lie down."
Roland and Roger shifted for her to lay down and then began to caress her body. She closed her eyes as the twins kissed and touched her.
Roland's breathing became irregular, and his voice sounded fluttering, "You belong to us now, Regina. Be calm and stop fidgeting."
How could she be calm when their touches were like a sweet torment to her body? She wants them to stop and, at the same time, she wants them to keep touching her. She could feel her hard n*****s and the sweet sensation that kept erupting in her. She had never felt like this before.
Roger giggled as he removed Rogan's jacket from Regina's body, "you have firm and perfect skin. I never imagined you would be as beautiful as this."
While Roger was talking, Roland was busy fiddling with Regina's breasts. And only the torment alone from his touch nearly made her scream out.
Jenny and Benny were seen walking aimlessly and murmuring in the presence of their mother.
"Have you tried to contact them?"
"Yes," Jenny replied. "They aren't responding to our messages."
"It's because of that b***h of a girl."
"If I should lay my hands on Regina, I would squeeze life out of her."
" She won't go free this time around," Benny mumbled. "Imagine coming out of nowhere to scatter the program when we were about to be introduced."
"Don't worry my darling daughter. She is already in a deep soup, and who knows where this will end? Treason is a big crime around here."
Jenny looked unconvinced for a while and then muttered with a disbelieving look. "I don't believe Roger's explanation and I think something is amiss somewhere. What did you think, Benny?"
"I don't know what to think, dear. I'm so confused right now."
"Why don't you guys check on them? They should have caught her by now. You know where to find them, right?"
"Either they are at home or in their cabin," Jenny mumbled.
"Go and meet them instead of brooding here."
Their mother's suggestions seemed to go well with the twins, who immediately halted their steps, raced towards their mother, hugged her, and then ran to their room to dress up.
Several minutes later, the dressed-to-kill ladies catwalk out of the room to the admiration of their mother.
"No wonder the alpha's twins were dying to make you their Luna. You are so beautiful. Unlike Regina your sister.
"Stop calling her our sister. Dad picked her up from the dumpster, right?" Jenny looked into her mother's eyes as she asked.
"Yeah. But don't tell her this. Always remember she can't survive without us. We are the only people she knows as family."
The twins hugged her one more time, and Jenny held her sister's hand, dragging her after herself. "Mom, don't worry, if we are not back tonight, we will probably be spending the night with our men."
After waving them goodbye, Elizabeth peeped through the room window and saw her daughters entering into one of the cars parked in the garage and then driving out.
"May the goddess keep my two darling daughters safe and put Regina to shame for disrupting our plan."
Apart from her husband, she knew the truth surrounding Regina's birth, and like her husband, she had vowed to take it to her grave.
