2. The Loner with no friends

653 Words
Alexs' pov I finally arrive at school heading for a nice quiet spot under a massive Oak tree at the side of B Block. I grab out my Math revision ready for my math test for first period. I already know it but u can never be to careful and I dont have anything better to do. The first bell finally goes so I head to class. No body pays any attention to me as I go. I dont mind I like the way it is. I dont have any friends, I am a loner im ok with that. I dont really like interacting with people unless I have to. I just don't feel like I fit in, I feel like I'm different. I dont know why but I have never felt like I belong here. I did try telling my mum a few times when I first started feeling different. She just smiled. She always said i was special and I will find my place in a few years. She disappeared 6 months ago. Math flew by, I believe I passed the test. The bell went for class to finish so I made my way to Art. I love Art I just feel free being able to let my mind wander and paint what ever comes to mind. Half the time I paint a giant meadow with a massive lake running through the middle a forrest on the left and mountains on the right. Giant bolders beside the lake and a girl sitting on them with a giant dog beside them the girl and the dog are never very big as if looking at them from a long way away and up high and you can never see a face. You can tell that the dog is way bigger the the girl and its always black. I also paint a mountain so high it reaches the clouds. An opening in the side just under the clouds and a blue and black dragon standing on the ledge wings spread wide as he is about to take off into the sky. At the bottom of the mountain is the same girl and the giant black dog. Again not big enough to see who the girl is. The rest of the day flies by nothing exciting happens i eat lunch by myself like normal then go to class by myself. Just like every other day. The final bell rings ending school for the day. After school I volunteer at the local library 3 days a week I have for the past year. After mum disappeared i went a lot more often. It gives me something to do so I dont have to go home. The less time at home the better. The library is a 30 minute walk from school. The sun is out its not to hot for spring which is nice. The birds are chirping, kids are playing in the park kicking a soccer ball laughing as they go. I smile as I walk past thinking how nice it must be to not have a care in the world. I finally make it to the library, I greet Mrs Sanders the librarian as I enter and place my school bag in the office. I ask what jobs she has for me to do and she gives me a list with a smile and a Thank you. I wonder through the isles placing returned books back on the shelves where they belong. The quicker I get the jobs done the more time I have to read. I like reading all the fantasy novels I do let my imagination run wild its better then being here. I finish my jobs get my homework done for English. Now to find a book i havent read yet. Which is actually a lot but im starting from A working through till Z. Not like I have a life.
