Anathema"s new human heart thundered in his thin chest as he stared up at the towering building before him. The Fortress of Crae was an immense defensive structure that the Children of Light had built around 120 years ago when the war was beginning to spread across the unallied lands, stretching out beyond each of the nation"s territories. It sat nestled between three regions—Alcherys, Meraxor and the unallied Terralia—at the foot of the Jardian Mountain range. The base of the fortress was carved from the rocky terrain, then stretched up into the sky, towering above everything around it.
