32The morning after the gala, Molly called Constance and asked her to come back and finish the job cleaning the cottage. No, she wasn’t fired. Yes, she did have to mop after vacuuming. Yes, it would be better if she came this morning. Then Molly walked over to ask the Bennetts if they would mind leaving the place for a few hours, but when she knocked, no one answered. Were they still asleep? Gone out before Molly was up? She walked around the side and peeked in a window, but she couldn’t see much.
