Kima. That was my father’s name. “Come on, I know you want it too,” the dragon man said. He had a boyish look on his face, the way he gave my mother an amused smile was odd to me. Looking at my mama, she shook her head, mirroring the same amused smile from the guy. Kima swam to the side, leaving the water. He wrapped his arms around my mother’s waist, tilting his head to the side, gazing at her. “What’s wrong?” “This,” she answered. Kima looked around, as if searching for something. “I can’t find what’s wrong with this, Yanara.” “You know what I mean,” mama replied. “We should stop before your clan claimed I bewitch you.” “I’ll burn the world apart from us, if it comes down to that.” “You are choosing soon.” Kima placed a kiss on her head. “I am choosing you.” I felt a tug inside
