The doctor examined Roxanne, his eyes scanning her face before landing on the tiny stitch on her forehead. "Did she suffer a head injury?" he asked Jaxon.
"Yes, she had a concussion," Jaxon replied, his brow furrowed with concern.
The doctor nodded. "That explains the headaches and dizzy spells. It's the aftermath of the concussion, but with time, it'll wear off if she doesn't overstress herself."
He prescribed some medication, including antidepressants, and instructed Jaxon to ensure Roxanne rested. "I've administered a sedative, so she'll be asleep for a while," he said before taking his leave.
Jaxon stayed by Roxanne's side, watching over her as she slept for hours. He ordered soup and asked Mrs. Anderson to go grocery shopping for her, determined to take care of her.
