Roxanne's eyes fluttered open, her head throbbing with a dull ache. She was slightly dizzy, and her surroundings were blurry. As the mist cleared from her eyes, she realized she was in a hospital bed, her aunt sitting beside her.
"Thank goodness you're awake," her aunt exclaimed, relief etched on her face. "What happened?"
Roxanne's mind was foggy, but she tried to remember. "I...I don't know," she stammered. "I was in an elevator...and...and... That's all I remember." She added.
Her aunt filled in the blanks. "Jaxon brought you here and called me. The doctor said you suffered from heatstroke and your blood pressure was a bit high. But don't worry, you'll be discharged soon."
