Aftermath

Stacy's Pov

He walked back into the house and sat down next to me asking me questions if I was okay and how it happened and so on. I told him to wait that I wanted the officers to be present so that they take my statement once. I wouldn't be able to talk much after this as I do not want to be reliving the day over and over again.

Reece was trying to be calm but I could see he was itching to hear what I had to say. So I took a deep breath and narrated what happened from when I picked the children up to when their car swerved in front of mine to cut me offi the road, how they shot out my front and back windscreen with glass shattering everywhere and cutting us to racing home away from them and all that happened in the house up until when they all got here. I could see both Leonidas and Reece looking very upset and angry. Trying to hold back themselves from going after the man, they both were trying to talk on top of each other questioning the police on what they were going to do to them and how they were going about it and so on.

I just wanted myself and my babies far away from here, the memory of the harrowing experience is still to fresh. I stood up and wanted to get to my children when I saw the ground coming closer to my face and everything went black.

Reece's Pov

I quickly caught my sister, looking at her and wondering why she fainted, she had on a black blazer with black camisole so I didn't see anything amiss. While trying to raise her through her shoulder something nicked me, I almost let her go when Leonidas caught her and the same thing happened to him. Between the both of us we caught her gently without touching her shoulders when I noticed the black blazer was soaked through and if I am guessing right with blood. No wonder she looked so pale I just assumed it was the shock, she was f*****g loosing blood and lots if it too. I looked at him and said quick let's lay her down on the couch, Freya was looking at us wondering when I gently peeled her blazer off it got caught on her shoulder and a big piece of glass was stuck there. I looked at Leonidas who was already calling out to the paramedics and the children who were getting calm started screaming again calling out for their mumi but she was out cold. Freya and their nanny quickly tried to calm the children while the paramedics worked on her and they said they had to take her in as they couldn't remove the glass as they didn't wanto cause even more bleeding as it might have hit a major artery and would not want to complicate things even more by removing it without surgery, so they can handle any other complications. She was taken on the ambulance and I followed them with Freya and Leonidas looking after the kids.

Alfonzo's Pov

I was in a meeting when my phone pinged. I looked at it and it was Nikolas. It said ' Call me , it's urgent ' . I wondered what could be that urgent, we haven't got any lead on the guy funding Lilith so that might be it. It would have to wait till after the meeting. But then my phone kept pinging and even my father and some if the board closer to me started looking at me with frowns, I switched it to vibrate and then after some minutes a call came through and even I am curious now because it must really be urgent but I couldn't for the life of me get what could be that urgent. So I cleared my throat and told them to excuse me while I picked the call, I had barely put the phone in my ears when he shouted at me, Bro, Stacey and the children were nearly killed today, they are on their way to the hospital now. As soon as I heard that I nearly collapsed, I am ashamed to say it but I almost had a panic attack. I could hear Nikos like he was far away saying bro? bro? I couldn't say nothing. My father rushed to me and hit me in the back , the shock made me get myself abit but I was still almost breathless and could only mutter Stacey...... Children...... killed. I could see blood drain from his face and the meeting room was already about going into chaos with everyone talking at the same time asking who's that and what's going on. My father got hold of himself faster and said to them gentlemen, this meeting is adjourned till further notice. He hurried me to the elevator while calling on the phone I think it was the driver or my mother but I didn't know I just wanted to be at the hospital like yesterday.

We both were in no condition to drive and I was about to mention when I saw our driver already opening the door to the car just as we were approaching the exit.

We got in and my dad asked me again what do you mean killed, I could calmly say that they were almost killed but that I didn't know the details as I didn't hear any other thing Nikos said when he said almost killed. My dad said he already told my mom killed and that we would hear it when we got to the hospital and I asked how he got the hospital when he replied Nikos told me.

The car had barely packed when we got out and headed into the hospital asking for Stacey and her children and the receptionist was trying to make things hard for me citing bullshit about hospital policy about not giving out information to non- family members when I shouted at her, they are my kids to which she replied oh. I was getting impatient and would have done something drastic if not for my dad holding me back when a man walked towards us and said you must be Alfonzo in an almost sarcastic tone which I chose to ignore and I answered. yes. He said follow me and we walked with him towards one of the private wards. I saw my children with sticker plaster over their hands and face with a big one on the side of my daughter's face and I could feel myself getting angry. Who would dare to do this? I asked for Stacey and a guy who looked like her asked who am I? And her friend Freya if I recall answered before I could, he's Alfonzo and his face changed immediately. He dropped one if the boys and walked me just outside and said What the f**k are you doing here? If you are here to mess with my sister or take advantage and take her kids you have got another thing coming. I don't even know what she saw in you but know this if you have got anything to do with this you would regret it. I was really getting fed up with this guy, but I couldn't do anything because he was her brother and I wouldn't want to get on his bad side so I just said no I didn't. He still was not satisfied, he went on to say even if it wasn't you it has to be because of you. Since you surfaced in her life again it has brought nothing but trouble. Don't think I don't know that that debacle with that bimbo model was because she was your ex-wife. I didn't say anything because what could I really say he was already convinced I had something to do with it so I would just be protesting unnecessarily instead I asked what happened?

He looked at me for a minute before he launched into the story as told him by Stacey and was watching me all through while he spoke. Then said to me, that should also tell you not to get on her bad side or try to take her children, she's a mama bear, stronger than she looks and she would do anything for those children. As soon as he left, I dialed Nikos and asked what have you got for me? He said two guys skull and dredger, they are small time assassins my breath seized for some minutes. I am trying to pull up the interrogation tape from the police to find out what's going on and who hired them. I replied, get to the bottom of this, whoever this is must not get away with this. He said ' I know and am on it. Just know that you owe me alot. I normally don't do this kinda work for free, just do it for me and we would talk about compensation when it's all done
